The Allure of the Seas is pictured here with sister ships from the Oasis Class. Royal Caribbean has not made any announcements. However, it may be a key part of Royal Caribbean 2021-2022 plans from Galveston.

Royal Caribbean has sailed at least two ships from Texas for several years now. Currently, only the Liberty of the Seas is scheduled to sail from Texas in Summer 2021. Miller’s Seawall Grill

Miller’s Seawall Grill is located next to the Hotel Galvez in Galveston. It is a fantastic breakfast and lunch spot.

I always get to Galveston early before a cruise. I want to avoid the stress of late flights. More to the point, a couple of days in Galveston is an important part of my vacation. I also work hard to find new and interesting places to eat. When staying at the Hotel Galvez this year, we walked across the street to Miller’s Seawall Grill for breakfast. I am glad we did. It was amazing.

Galveston Oasis Class announcement delayed

However, in December 2018 Galveston officials talked about building it as a much larger pier. Royal Caribbean officials discussed their desire to bring a larger ship to Galveston. On Tuesday, I wrote that only the Liberty of the Seas is scheduled in Galveston past April 2021. It looks like there will be more good news for Galveston cruisers. However, a Galveston Oasis class announcement has been delayed. Royal Caribbean should announce more details in early December.

The Royal Caribbean formal night menu tries to take things up a little more. Formal night happens twice on a 7 night cruise, and the two formal nights are a little bit different. This is what happened on our cruise this Summer on the Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston.

The Liberty of the Seas is pictured here in Cozumel in July 2019. Royal Caribbean will refurbish the ship in January 2021, and then she will return to Galveston for one more Summer.

We wrote earlier that the Royal Caribbean Summer 2021 schedule will be released this week. Royal Caribbean started to release that schedule yesterday. While more announcements are forthcoming, one thing is clear: An old favorite is returning to Galveston. The Liberty of the Seas will be refurbished in January 2021, and then it will return to Galveston for one more Summer.
