Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room Menu Shiitake

The Shiitake dinner menu in main dining room (MDR) on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas on the June 25, 2017 sailing. The notes about suite guests at the top only applied to room service, and this menu was available to all in the MDR.

We sailed on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston on June 25, 2017. I am slowly posting each Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room menu from that week in hopes that the will be helpful to someone– I always like having an idea of what I am going to eat on a big trip. Each night picks a theme, although I confess that sometimes it is hard to pick out what actual impact the theme has had on the menu. Whatever it was, Shiitake night was excellent. Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room Pomodoro menu

The Pomodoro menu in the Royal Caribbean main dining room. Please ignore the note which says, “For Suite Guests Only.” This was available for room service in suites, but it was the standard main dining room menu.

My apologies, but I do not remember which night they served this menu on our June 25 cruise on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. I have already written about the first three nights, and I know this wasn’t the menu from the second formal night (Night 6). That means this was served on either night 4, 5, or 7. In any event, I wanted to show you what this menu consists of and offer a couple of thoughts about it. Continue reading “Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room Pomodoro menu”

Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room Basil Menu

Basil menu in the Royal Caribbean main dining room. It varies which night this is served on, but for us it was night 3– the second consecutive sea day en route to Roatan. Please ignore the text “Exclusive to Suite Guests.” Only guests in suites could get it through room service, but this was the dinner menu for all passengers.

Day 3 of our cruise out of Galveston this Summer on Royal Caribbean saw us on our second consecutive sea day en route to Roatan, Honduras. The Main Dining Room (MDR) was serving their Basil menu. That means that at least one dish had a basil theme. This wasn’t a fantastic meal. However, it was the third consecutive solid performance out of the hardworking staff in the main kitchen. Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room Saffron Menu

The Saffron dinner menu served Night 2 (sea day) on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. This was the first formal night, and it was the lower key of the two formal nights.

The first full day of our cruise¬† this Summer on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas was spent at sea. That night our group assembled in the Main Dining Room (MDR) for the Saffron menu. This was the first formal night of the cruise. While we had the option of ordering it from room service since we were staying in a Grand Suite (hence the note about “exclusive to suite guests;” this was the MDR menu for everyone), but we enjoy the ritual of dinner every night. As luck would have it, this may have been my favorite dinner menu. Continue reading “Royal Caribbean Main Dining Room Saffron Menu”

Royal Caribbean Brasserie 30 lunch menu

The main dining room lunch menu on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas for the June 25, 2017 sailing.

I wrote yesterday about the fact that I am not a huge fan of the buffet on Royal Caribbean (RCCL). It was fine, I just don’t like huge crowds. While I have eaten lunch in Chops Steakhouse and at Giovanni’s, my preference is also to avoid paying extra for my lunch. Happily, the main dining room presents an excellent alternative. RCCL calls their main dining room lunch menu “Brasserie 30.” While I am not sure they hit any particular theme in Brasserie 30, it is probably the best free lunch option on the ship.
